The patented KDG series ball swivel joints are a torsion protection that can be used as an adapter and provide an additional swivelling function to avoid the kinking of hoses. This not only prevents damages to the hose but also makes the handling / positioning of the hose lines significantly easier for the operator. Classical application: Loading processes with varying connection points, short hose lines on hose stations.
The DG series swivel joints consist of two halves designed as ball and socket and held together by a flange. The ball can be rotated without limitations in the socket at normal pressure and it can be swivelled by about 50° in total. The flow characteristics of the ball swivel joint are optimised to avoid any narrowing or protruding edges in the flow of product – independent of the current swivel angle.
To optimise the adapter property, we provide very different connection forms and sizes for each nominal width of the ball and the socket; these forms can be deliberately combined in a modular system. Thus this ball swivel joint series also becomes an adapter kit: An adapter with the added value of the rotation and swivel function!
With the swivel angle of approx. 50° overall, a capacity of hoses to bend almost without being damaged. This prevents many types of damage that are otherwise caused by tight bending of hoses. Furthermore the operators are very significantly relieved.
TIP: The swivel angle of 50° can be further increased by using several RS ball swivel joints connected in series.
