Economic and safe handling of fluid media
The RS hose loading arm is the optimal loading aid for ergonomic and safe hose handling. Thanks to the modular system consisting of frame and functional elements the SGA can be individually tailored to the respective application scenarios. This design facilitates operation of heavy hose lines, and the special joint mechanics protect them against inadvertent overstress due to bending. The SGA can easily be controlled by a single operator and is compatible with a wide range of hoses and valves. The SGA ensures safe, economical and ergonomic operation and is also virtually maintenance-free.
RS combines safety, ergonomics and efficiency
Following intensive consultation on site we quickly decided in favour of a comprehensive RS solution comprising hose loading arm, dry disconnect coupling and safety breakaway coupling that allows for easy coupling and decoupling of the filled hose line under operating pressure without loss of the handled fluid. The easy-to-swivel RS hose loading arm supports the heavy chemical hoses (product line and gas displacement including coupling systems).

Its mobility facilitates precise unloading of the rail tank car and protects the lines from undesired abrasion caused by ground contact and excessive torsion.
The dry disconnect coupling TX complies with the current safety standards and their innovative internal contour reduces the flow resistance of the locking elements. Compared to competitor products this reduces the necessary energy demand at identical loading performance.
In addition, the superior ergonomics of the coupling make it easy and safe to handle even at high operating pressure. Due to its modular design the dry disconnect coupling TX requires little maintenance and is easy to repair since the entire sealing unit can be removed and replaced within just a few minutes.
The system is protected by the safety breakaway coupling ABVL which ensures precise and safe separation of the loading system in the case of an undesired force application (e.g. as a result of a rail tank car moving in an uncontrolled manner). The immediate closure by valves on both sides of the separation prevents any medium from escaping into the environment.
1. SGA hose loading arm
The SGA hose loading arm ensures safe, economical and ergonomic operation. This facilitates the loading of liquids and gases with hose lines running between a mobile unit and a stationary plant considerably. In addition, it reduces material wear and makes work easier for the staff.
2. Safety breakaway coupling-ABVL
The safety breakaway coupling ABVL with a high flow rate and force-limited release by means of breaking pins is one of the high-performance versions of the RS breakaway couplings. Once the maximum tensile strength of the breaking pins is exceeded the both coupling halves separate and ensure that the flow channel is impermeably sealed on each side.
3. Tank truck coupling
The tank truck coupling allows a reliable and quick connection of the gas displacement line. Thanks to durable materials the easy-to-use quick coupling system standardised as per EN 14420-6 requires very little maintenance.
4. Dry disconnect coupling TX
The disc valve coupling standardised as per NATO STANAG 3756 is compatible with other couplings of this standard. In addition to high flow rates and low maintenance it also offers many features that are optionally available.
